Calculate the full-width at half maximum (FWHM) of an absorption line.

Parameters:

  • f (ndarray) – Frequency grid.

  • a (ndarray) – Line properties (e.g. absorption coefficients or cross-sections).

Returns:

Linewidth.

Return type:

float
